The Larimer Chorale feels strongly that singing is a life-long activity that carries significant health and wellness benefits. In 2012, conductor Michael Todd Krueger, and Executive Director, Wendy D. White, created an outreach program, Singing for Seniors, and formed the Silvertones Senior Choir. Members do not have to audition and do not need prior singing experience. They meet on Tuesday mornings to sing just for the fun of it. There are currently have 180 registered Silvertones with about 160 singing in any one session and 140 or so singing in the concerts.
The Dickens Carolers of the Larimer Chorale are 20 outstanding vocalists, auditioned from within the ranks of the Larimer Chorale. They perform as quartets and smaller ensembles and are available for hire for various community celebrations and functions as well as private parties throughout the holiday season. They wear authentic Victorian costumes, made by soprano Marian Railsback.
About The Larimer Chorale:
The Larimer Chorale is one of the largest and most accomplished avocational choral ensembles in the Rocky Mountain Region. We are an auditioned, adult choir that was created by our community, for our community. Through our concerts, events, and outreach activities, we actively demonstrate that singing is a life-long endeavor that brings fulfillment and enrichment to singers and audiences alike. We sing for the joy it brings to us and our audiences and out of a deep dedication to music and our community.
