Presented by the Silvertones Choir for Older Adults.
Ella Fitzgerald sold 40 million albums, won 13 Grammy awards and became known as "The First Lady of Song" throughout her impactful career. Perhaps most importantly, she brought jazz to the masses, packing performance venues with people rich and poor, of all ages, races and religions. Join the Silvertones of the Larimer Chorale as we celebrate Lady Ella’s legacy by singing her interpretation of the Great American Songbook. Under the direction of visiting conductor Paul Falk and accompanied by a jazz ensemble, our choir of 150 voices will take you back to the Big Band era with songs like A-Tisket A-Tasket, Don’t Get Around Much Anymore and They Can’t Take That Away. This is a musical tribute you don’t want to miss!
