The Larimer Chorale

Wendy White Named Executive Director of the Chorale

After serving a year as Director of Development for the Larimer Chorale, the board of Directors appointed Wendy White to the Executive Director position.  According to the board president, "Wendy's new title more accurately reflects the work she has already been doing for us, and doing very well."

In accepting the new title, Wendy did admit that she had taken a broad view of “development” from the start.  She has been working on developing the Chorale's reputation,  ticket sales, and fan base.  She also worked closely with the board to assure that the Chorale is in compliance with standards for good governance of non-profits.  Because the Larimer Chorale is such an efficient, transparent, and well-run organization, it has built considerable  donor confidence in its abilities.

In fact, over the last year, the Larimer Chorale has tripled the number of individual donors, increased the number of Chorale members who give, and received grants from some new sources. It has started a planned giving program, the Harmony Circle, and is poised to launch an outreach program called "Singing for Seniors."  Best yet however, is the news that the Chorale has sold out its last four concerts.

Wendy said, "It's an ideal job!  I learn something new every day.  I'm in the middle of the performing arts scene in Fort Collins.  I am continually inspired by an absolutely terrific group of accompanists, conductors, and singers.  I am totally in awe of their dedication, their volunteerism, their willingness to work extremely hard, and their  incredible talent.  It is an honor to work with the Larimer Chorale."
